Slippery MOT
A mechanic received quite a fright when undertaking a routine inspection on a customer’s car. He opened the bonnet to find a five-foot long boa constrictor snake nestling under the bonnet!
The snake, five inch thick was curled up in the engine bay of a Mini Cooper when the car was about to take its MOT test in Oxford.
If you have a Ford that needs an MOT, it might be a good idea to take it to your local Ford Chigwell dealer to be sure there are no snakes!
“We immediately called the RSPCA to collect the snake, since it didn’t belong to the customer and we had no idea who owned it. We also wanted to make sure we didn’t harm the reptile in removing it, as we’re more used to working on brakes than snakes!” said Wayne Hunt, the mechanic that was about to do the MOT test.
The RSPCA said the snake looked thinner than other boa constrictors, which would happen if the snake had been under the bonnet for a while. This is the first incident of its kind in the UK and still no-one knows where the snake came from.
