Demand for used cars under the £1,000 mark, now exceeds the current levels of supply.

On AutoTrader, the UK’s top ten cars receive over 30,000 searches daily, but only 4,000 vehicles are available on the website to meet some of the demand.

The UK’s most sought after vehicle is Vauxhall Corsa which has over 5,000 searches daily but only 500 cars are available on the website.

The data suggests that it’s currently a seller’s market and now would be the absolute right time to sell your lower value vehicle and get the right price for it.  It would be the perfect time to sell your small car to your local used cars Swindon dealer, especially if AutoTrader are right.

“As rising running costs continue to affect motorists in the UK, shopping for smaller and lower priced cars has become increasingly competitive,” said Ian MacDonald, e-marketing manager at Auto Trader.
